YOGAPHILOSOPHY WITH HANNA

PATANJALIS 8 LIMBS - FROM AHIMSA TO SAMADHI

You may have heard your yoga teacher mention concepts like Ahimsa, Aparigrapha and Santosha? But how are they connected, and what benefits can we gain from them in our modern times? The philosophy of yoga has many different branches, but Patanjali’s Eight Limbs is something that we are sure to encounter. Welcome to a captivating evening where we can find remedies thousand-year-old scriptures for modern conflicts in the laundry room and how to handle the SALE at Mall of Scandinavia. The evening ends with a small practice.

SEVERAL THOUSANDS YEARS AGO a system emerged for sustainable development. Industrial and technological development has brought us far ahead in many ways. But within ourselves we still think about the same things now as then. The inner world of man and inner contradictions are in many ways the same.

A small part of the yoga philosophy is Patanjali’s 8-fold path, which today is more relevant than ever and incredibly useful in the laundry room as well as when there is a SALE in the Mall of Scandinavia. It is almost as if it was written for our time and contains a system with 15 parts that start in your everyday life, but which leads to your quiet consciousness. Maybe you have heard your yoga teacher mention different parts such as Ahimsa, Bramacharya or Asteya? Three out of ten parts that only deal with our everyday life. Before we start a practical yoga practice. But how are they connected?

Dress comfortably, as we will do some simple asanas to help you sit, and finish by trying out Patanjali’s preparation for meditation. Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahata, Dhyarana, Dharana and finally, maybe a glimpse of Samadhi.
